Meet the Team
Dr. John Choi
Dr. Choi grew up in NYC but now makes his home in the Boston area with his wife Sandy, son Zachary and their Havapoo Maki.
Dr. Choi graduated from Tufts University School of Dental Medicine with Honors. He was inducted into the OKU Honor Dental Society. He was also selected for the Middlesex Honors Externship Program based on his excellent academic and clinical standing. While enrolled in dental school, Dr. Choi had the opportunity to teach and mentor other dental students. His dedication and aptitude to teaching is carried over into his practice. Dr. Choi is passionate about dentistry. His first priority is to teach people about oral disease and it’s prevention and treatment. He wants to motivate his patients to get involved in their treatment.
Dr. Choi is known for his gentle touch and attention to detail. His motto of “do it right and do it once” makes for beautiful restorations which last a long time. Dr. Choi is eager to meet you to maintain your oral and overall health.
Dr. Choi started at Choice Dental in 2008, taking over the practice of Dr. Robert Paquette, who was here for 41 years prior. It was the culmination of his vision of being a place that cares for the staff and patients like he would care for his family and friends. Over a decade later, it still continues to be a place that gives him purpose and joy, as he serves that local community and stays mindful to create a fun and fulfilling place for the staff to spend their days.
Outside of work, he enjoys spending time with his family and friends and serving in his local church, especially kids and youth programs. Dr. Choi has made it a part of his family rhythm to do service trips with his son Zachary. Since the age of 10, they have gone on many service trips to build homes in Baja, Mexico, do dental missions in San Luis Colorado, MX, and many local projects in the greater Boston area through Boston Faith and Justice.

Stephanie, Dental Hygienist
Stephanie has been with Choice Dental since 2012. Her attention to detail and thoroughness, while maintaining a laid back attitude, helps to put our patients minds at ease, knowing they will receive the best care in a guilt free environment. Steph really values the relationships she has developed with our patients. This comes from genuinely caring for each individual and customizing their treatment plans to achieve the best outcome.
Stephanie is married to her high school sweetheart and they share a son and two dogs. In her free time, she enjoys quality time with family as they explore northern New England for everything from power sport trips and camping to watching sunsets and taking in nature. She also enjoys trying new restaurants.

Sandy lives in East Freetown with her husband, Ken. She has raised five wonderful children and has two grandchildren. She enjoys traveling, working in her garden, and doing her own floral arrangements.
Tanya, Dental Hygienist
Tanya has lived in Taunton her entire life. She has been a hygienist since 2004 and has a lot of experience working all kinds of dental settings. Tanya joined our team in 2025 but she has worked with Dr. Choi at a previous office so she is accustomed to the quality care that Choice Dental is known for.
Tanya’s favorite aspect of her job is interacting with our patients and educating them on the benefits of good oral health. Her bubbly personality instantly puts our patients at ease because she understands that coming to the dentist is not everyone’s favorite activity.
Tanya lives with her long term boyfriend Dave and her two children Aiden and Layla. She enjoys spending time with friends and family, cooking, reading, and attending her children’s activities.
Tori, Dental Hygienist
Tori joined the Choice Dental team in 2020 initially as a per diem hygienist. Her calm energy and gentle touch was a great match for the office so we kept her on long term as part of the Choice Dental family.
Tori graduated from the University of New Haven with a degree in Dental Hygiene. After graduation, she lived in Boston for 5 years, then spent 6 months travelling in Thailand, India, the Azores and Italy. She comes to Raynham all the way from Portsmouth, RI because she aligned with the high quality care delivered at Choice Dental. She also appreciates how fun it is to work at Choice Dental due to relationships with the patients and her coworkers. Her favorite part of her job is the education that she can offer to our patients to improve their oral health over time. She has added to the practice by using all of her clinical skills that she has learned and she feels that she has improved a lot as a health care provider due to being challenged by her coworkers and by Dr. Choi.
Tori spends time half the year in Italy with her husband and his family. When not at work, she enjoys cooking, yoga and appreciating nature.
Sarah, Dental Assistant
Sarah has been a part of the Choice Dental family since 2010. She has grown up in Southeastern, MA her entire life and lives close to the office with her daughter Skyla, two cats: Max and Mittens, and two Leopard geckos: Skinesha and Sweetie.
Sarah’s gift of organization ensures that we are stocked with all the latest and greatest supplies to deliver the best care to our patients. She loves making patients smile and laugh, to help them feel at ease during their dental visits. The comfort of our patients is one of her top concerns.
When she is not at work, she enjoys going to the beach and spending time with family and friends.
Leslie, Dental Assistant
Sandra, Dental Benefit and Billing Coordinator/Receptionist
Leslie started at Choice Dental at the age of five as a patient. She attended Bristol Plymouth where she did her internship in her junior year. Her work ethic and personality were so impressive that she was hired for her Co-op in her senior year. She was hired right after graduation to be a full time dental assistant to work alongside the doctor and hygienists so the office is a safe and clean environment.
Leslie is a fast learner and always strives to give her best to every situation. Her youthful energy definitely makes for a more lively environment at Choice Dental.
In her free time, she enjoys thrifting, going to the beach, and spending time with her animals, Leila (dog), Toby (dog), and Winnie (bunny).
Sandy has been at this location since 1998, even before Dr. Choi purchased the practice. Sandy’s favorite part of her job is building close relationships with all the people that she meets. She loves people and it really shows in the terrific job that she does. She greets every patient with a smile and will assist with any dental benefit questions that you may have. Sandy finds it rewarding to see someone smile again, however, it doesn’t always come easily as it’s challenging working with the logistics of dental benefit plans. This is where Sandy comes in to help our patients to maximize care out of their benefit plans.
Sandy lives in East Freetown with her husband and dog Lola. Outside of work, she enjoys nature, gardening, camping and spending time with family.
Courtney, Patient Coordinator/Receptionist
Courtney lives in Southeastern, MA with her fiancé Adam and their beautiful daughter along with two Golden Retrievers. Courtney transitioned from working in a hospital to joining the team at Choice Dental in 2020. She really has enjoyed the more personal service that our office delivers versus a hospital. She likes seeing patients leave with more confidence in their smile than when they first walked into the office.
Courtney is responsible for being the first contact at our office as she welcomes you with a smile. She hopes that her sense of humor and enthusiasm can make your experience at Choice Dental a more positive one.
In her free time, she enjoys horticulture, aquariums, DIY projects, camping and spending time with family and friends.
Lola, Comfort Dog
Lola lives in East Freetown with her mom and dad. Lola has been at Choice Dental since 2020. While she loves making the patients feel calm, she also loves the attention she receives, as well as the treats and belly rubs that come with the job.

Outside of work, she enjoys short walks, travelling, camping and quiet nights at home with family.
